Hope Community Healthcare Ltd
Hope Community Healthcare Ltd are the owners and operators of the new Mundesley Hospital based in Norwich. Mundesley Hospital specialise in mental health and dementia and the hospital is on the site of an old tuberculosis sanatorium that originally opened in 1899. After being adopted by the National Health Service in 1957 it became a convalescence and rehabilitation unit until it closed in 1992. Between 1997 and 2009 the site was used as a drug and alcohol treatment centre before closing again and laying empty for five years.
Two experienced business people, Elijah Adeyemi and Leigh Allison saw the opportunity the building presented and agreed a lease with the aim of addressing the lack of mental wellbeing facilities in the Norfolk area. An extensive refurbishment project saw the completion of stage one and with that an asset finance requirement for a variety of soft assets and services being supplied by numerous suppliers. Complete Leasing were able to agree and structure a facility of over 400K which was part lease, part loan and part sale and lease back. This allowed the customer the flexibility of meeting supplier payment deadlines which ensured the project stayed on budget and the hospital opened on time.
We have been refurbishing an old Victorian TB hospital into a new Mental Health Hospital at Mundesley on the North Norfolk coast. To achieve this and supplement the private finance we used Joe Lloyd at Complete Leasing solutions who helped us to raise over £400k against the project which had a total cost in excess of £2M. Joe was very proactive and made the process relatively painless for the sums involved. We have now completed the project and will be opening in the very near future. Thanks to Joe and his team”.
